Physical Well-being

Employees work in an environment where learning and engaging in positive choices in the area of physical well-being is supported by all.

Each employee understands and values the various aspects that contribute to physical well-being. Employees take ownership of their own physical well-being and make connections between physical activity and mental health. Employees are supported to make healthy choices regarding their physical well-being.  Employees are aware of the safety of their physical environment and take action to report hazards. Such an environment, when coupled with supportive leadership and flexible opportunities to share ideas and expertise, result in positive impact on staff productivity, job satisfaction, stress management, morale and reduced absenteeism.

Mental Well-being

Employees are supported to learn about efforts they can take collectively and individually to positively impact their own mental well-being. While awareness and promotion of mental health exists within the workplace, employees understand the value of self care in creating a healthy balance in life and have the responsibility to self-reflect and advocate for themselves.

Understanding and intentionally tending to a culture of mental well-being will show a decrease in stress, burnout and other negative factors ultimately ensuring healthy environments for all NGPS members.

Social Well-being

Employees work in an environment where trusted relationships are built and maintained through meaningful connections. Social support impacts overall well-being.  Each employee has a role to play in the social well-being of themselves and others.
