Hillside students bring Aladdin to Valleyview!
Posted on:Hillside students played to a full house this week with their amazing presentation of Disney’s Aladdin. The play had every hallmark of a great production from the performances and the singing to the props and costumes.
The group of 25 students performed 5 shows this week including day and evening performances and a special show for students from Oscar Adolphson Primary, Harry Gray Elementary and St. Stephen’s Elementary.
"We are so thrilled to have a growing arts culture in our school," commented teacher and director, Mr. Chaffey. “It’s a pleasure to work with students who love to create and entertain. Some members of our cast have been with the Drama program since it began, five years ago, while others are experiencing the thrill of performing on stage for the very first time. We are also fortunate to have a small army of talented artists and carpenters to design our set and produce our show. We are also very thankful to co-director Mrs. Berry who brings out the very best in our student’s musical talents."
