Northern Gateway Public Schools is pleased to welcome Ms. Reanne Schaber to the Division, as Assistant Principal of Mayerthorpe Jr/Sr High School, effective August 2024.

Ms. Schaber comes to us from Chinook's Edge School Division where she has been teaching junior and senior high school English and Social Studies since 2020. Throughout her career, Reanne has demonstrated a commitment to fostering positive and inclusive learning environments where every student and staff member can thrive, and to contributing as a leader, whether she is developing collaborative approaches to problems, mentoring new teachers, or serving as her school's Indigenous Lead.

"Ms. Schaber recognizes the importance of creating a positive school culture, and is committed to fostering a safe and respectful learning environment where all members of the school community feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed," shared NGPS Superintendent Kevin Bird. "We are looking forward to Reanne joining the NGPS administrative team."

Ms. Schaber holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Education degree from King's University.
