Parents will be excited to hear that new Before and After School Child Care spaces are coming to Valleyview!

Northern Gateway Public Schools is excited to announce a new partnership with the Knowledge Tree Early Learning & Childcare Centre in Valleyview to increase services for children and parents.

The partnership will see The Knowledge Tree access space in one of NGPS' Valleyview schools to operate before and after school care, thereby freeing up resources elsewhere and increasing child care spaces.

NGPS Superintendent Kevin Bird shared how accessible child care will be a game-changer for parents, "We hear regularly from parents in Valleyview about the need for increased child care and, like in other NGPS communities, we are partnering with quality service providers to make use of space in schools and provide more opportunities within communities."

The Knowledge Tree Board of Directors Hannah Knowles is excited to gain access to a larger facility which will allow for increased enrolment and ease of access for community members. The partnership will increase current child care spots for infants, toddlers, and preschool aged children by approximately 15 spots.

Programming will begin this summer!
