NGPS staff honoured at annual Employee Recognition Evening

Posted on:

The Division's annual Employee Recognition Evening is a special event for NGPS. Each year, employees from every school community in our Division gather together in Whitecourt to share a meal and to celebrate the people who make us great!

Hosted by the Board of Trustees, the evening honours longstanding staff for their years of service and commitment. This year's event honoured 75 staff, 12 retirees, the Division's Edwin Parr Nominee, Ms. Josie Liske from Fox Creek School, and special award recipient this year, Mrs. Kelle Hansen, who was inducted into the Alberta High School Sports Hall of Fame!

A message from NGPS Board Chair Gerry Steinke and Superintendent Kevin Bird:

On behalf of the entire NGPS family, THANK YOU for your hard work, good spirit, commitment and professionalism! We see, and appreciate, all that you do, and will continue to do, for students,
your schools and our communities.

Whether you received your first ever service award of five years, your 40 year service award, or you have traded in your NGPS pin for the new adventure of retirement, please know that you have made a difference in the lives of children, and that NGPS is a better place because of your contribution.
Thank you for choosing Northern Gateway Public Schools!
