It was an exciting day for Sangudo Community School (SCS) yesterday with the arrival of the Russell deCarle Trio.

The band, led by the former lead singer of the Juno award-winning band Prairie Oyster, spent the entire day mentoring Music Club students prior to putting on a full show in the evening for the community! 

Principal Oates shared, "We are so thankful to have had this opportunity. To have members of the band mentor and inspire our students all day, and perform for the community that same night, is a testament to their community spirit and passion for music. We know that spirit has rubbed off on our students. Thank you so much to the Russell deCarle Trio for coming out and to our school community (staff, parents, volunteers) for making the experience possible for SCS students."
